There may be times when you or your family members need help understanding the healthcare system, or you have a compliment or concern you would like to share about the care you received at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC).

If you would like to share a message of thanks or kudos for our healthcare workers please do so here and we will be sure to share it with them.

To voice a concern, first speak to a member of the care team or to the manager. If you still have concerns, the Patient Relations Coordinator will be happy to assist. Our goal is to ensure our care is provided in accordance with appropriate professional practice standards.

PATIENT RELATIONS CONSULTANT

This specialized role:

  • Is available to all PRHC patients, families and community members who have questions, compliments or concerns. Pre-arranged appointments are recommended.

  • Can explain Health Centre policies and procedures

  • Investigates issues objectively

  • May recommend a meeting with you, your family members and appropriate care team members

  • Can answer questions about services available at PRHC

  • Follows up on concerns so that managers, physicians and staff are aware of issues and will make improvements where appropriate

  • Can arrange for a staff member to review information on your chart with you
