DIALYSIS IN HOSPITAL

Dialysis in hospital is referred to as In-Centre Hemodialysis (ICHD). ICHD is a treatment done in hospital that uses a machine to filter the blood and remove extra fluid and waste.  This is the work that the kidneys would normally do. Hemodialysis is usually done 3 days a week for 3 to 4 hours. You will have a healthcare team that consists of a nephrologist, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and dietitians.
