This Administrative Professionals Day, we recognize the hard work, dedication, and ongoing commitment of all of our administrative professionals at PRHC, who play an integral role in supporting patients and their loved ones throughout their healthcare journey. They are key members of the hospital team, ensuring smooth and effective operations in a wide variety of ways.
Andrea Blanchette, a Central Booking Clerk at PRHC, is described by her manager as someone who exemplifies compassion, dedication and a desire to put patients first.
WORK BETTER
Andrea started working as a clerk at PRHC in 2013 in the Emergency Department. Since then, she has supported various departments, including Transcription, Health Records and Admitting. When asked what her typical day looks like, Andrea said: “I juggle clinical appointment bookings, answer calls to reschedule or confirm appointments, and collaborate with clinical staff and physicians to update schedules and clinical booking policies and procedures.” One of the best parts of the job? “I love how many patients I get to interact with every day.”
LIVE BETTER
“Peterborough is my hometown; it’s a city with the community atmosphere of a small town. I love the opportunity PRHC provides to work with such a strong group of clerical staff who are patient-driven and excel at promoting this in every aspect of their work. I have been very fortunate to work with my clerical team, interdisciplinary staff, and physicians at PRHC over the past ten years.”
