GOING HOME

Discharge teaching is a strong focus. Planning for your discharge can actually begin before your planned surgery. If you visited the pre-operative clinic before your surgery, you will have received information about preparing your home for when you are discharged. During your hospital stay, members of the healthcare team will provide educational material and instructions that you need to return home safely and care for yourself at home.
