“As a service desk technician, my role is to ensure that any technical issues are addressed promptly and courteously,” says Ben Woolf, who will be celebrating his three-year work anniversary with PRHC’s IT Service Desk this coming November. “I strive to make sure staff feel heard and comfortable asking questions, and have an overall pleasant experience with our Information Technology (IT) team.”
Typically, Ben’s workday consists of answering phone calls from staff and responding to any service tickets that are emailed in. His work can range from managing staff and student accounts, to setting up new equipment, to assisting with any technical issues that may arise during the day.
When asked what he likes about working as part of the IT team at PRHC, Ben says: “I think our collaboration really goes a long way. We’re all quick to help each other and can recognize when we need to tap into each other’s strengths. Whether it’s the service desk team or the systems analysts working on bigger projects, I think we’d all agree that we have a very strong team.
“Helping to facilitate growth and innovation from a technical standpoint is such a rewarding feeling.”
September 17 is IT Professionals Day. Thank you to Ben and all of our IT professionals at PRHC for the work they do every day to support patient care!
