• The Fracture Clinic provides patient care, which plays an important role in the management and treatment of orthopedic issues.
• It is staffed by Orthopedic Surgeons and Orthopedic Technologists.
• All orthopedic post-operative follow-up visits are conducted at this clinic.
• The Emergency Department at PRHC refers patients with acute fractures and/or other injuries for further clinical review to this clinic.

Booking Appointments

• If you have been referred to this clinic call (705) 876-5100 to book an appointment.
• The best time to make a call to book an appointment is between 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
• This is a very busy clinic and there is a high volume of calls, you may experience difficulties reaching the booking clerk and you may need to try calling several times to get through. Your patience is appreciated.
• Please have the following information available when you book your appointment.
  • The name of the doctor who referred you to the clinic.
  • The name of the Orthopedic Surgeon you are to see in the clinic.
  • Your (the patient's) date of birth.
  • Family doctor's name.
  • Type of injury.
  • Home phone number.
• Please have a pen and paper on hand to write down the date and time of your scheduled appointment.

On the Day of Your Appointment

• Please bring in any written information from the referring physician.
• Please bring in all X-rays, CT or MRI Scans, or reports you have been given.
• If the above information is not available the Surgeon may not be able to see you on the clinic day.
• This is a very busy clinic and although we make every effort to stick to the booked schedule, there is the potential that you may have a long wait to see the surgeon.

8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Monday to Friday.

The times may vary slightly depending on time of bookings and availability of the Orthopedic Surgeons.
